Step inside, and you’re greeted by the familiar hum of friendly chatter, lively music, and the welcoming buzz of a neighborhood diner where locals gather. When it comes to the menu, The Lampost truly shines with a variety of flavorful dishes that celebrate American classics with a Southern twist. Imagine sinking your teeth into the Southern Smothered Biscuit Platter, featuring country sausage and fluffy scrambled eggs coated in rich gravy — a meal that comforts as much as it satisfies. Or try the steak and eggs for a hearty protein punch that fuels your entire day. If you’re craving something lighter but equally delicious, the Gyro Salad offers fresh ingredients with a punch of Mediterranean flavor.

Breakfast lovers can’t go wrong with the iconic He-Man Platter, an unmistakably “big breakfast” experience that delivers a satisfying mix of eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes or the Breakfast Burrito, stuffed with eggs, cheese, and savory fillings wrapped to perfection. For those who appreciate creative burgers and sandwiches, the Jalapeño Burger paired with Chili Cheese Fries is a flavorful adventure, balancing a spicy kick with cheesy indulgence. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap, bursting with crispy fried chicken smothered in tangy buffalo sauce, is another crowd favorite, served alongside your choice of perfectly seasoned fries or a loaded baked potato.

The Lampost also excels with their smaller sandwiches like the Corn Beef with Swiss on Rye or the nostalgic Grilled Cheese with Ham — ideal for midday cravings or lighter appetites. Side options such as sausage patties, sausage links, and stuffed hash browns add even more satisfying layers to any meal.

Reviews from loyal patrons highlight the generous portion sizes (“GIANT portions!”), the unbeatable value (“definitely get your money’s worth”), and the consistently excellent food quality that keeps customers coming back. Many guests praise the friendly, attentive staff—servers like Abby make the dining experience feel personal—and the clean, inviting ambiance that elevates what might otherwise be “just another diner.”

The Lampost perfectly captures the essence of a neighborhood gem: affordable, unpretentious, and bursting with flavor in every bite. Whether you’re in the mood for a slow, satisfying breakfast or a hearty lunch with friends, this spot delivers a comforting food experience that warms the soul and fills the belly with generous portions of well-loved American and Southern classics.

Great place to stop for a nice big breakfast, or nice lunch. Lots of great options. Can get a huge breakfast or they offer something smaller. They have wraps, burgers, all kinds of things everything is tasty here. Staff is very friendly and service is fast and food comes out hot and you will leave full and satisfied. Full experience of a small diner with music playing, and people packing in waiting to get a seat.

The burger and fries were excellent. Somehow, the service was even better! The place is clean and has a great feel. I've wandered into a lot of joints across the country and this was definitely one of the better ones. They seem a little confused when somebody new comes in, but just smile and you'll get through it. I almost forgot. The place is very reasonably priced.

The food here is cheap. Like, insanely cheap, most items are barely above $10. The food is way better than you'd expect at that prices and It's absolutely better than a Dennys or a Waffle House. The menu is similar to that of an IHOP or Dennys with a heavy breakfast focus with some dinner and lunch options. I will say I do feel like there are more options available that aren't breakfast than you normally find at a diners. The interior looks like it was ripped straight out of Happy Days or Archie Comics, which is very charming. The servers here are friendly. This place is also now open again 24 hours at day as of this past April. It also has a large parking lot.

Haven’t been here for a while, looks brighter! Men’s room was clean ( super small) I ordered the triple decker BTL & fries, he had the build your own cheese burger, with loaded fries, with ranch dip. The veggies on both sandwiches tasted farm fresh, the ranch was a butter ranch which tasted home made.

Wildly exceeded my expectations. Ive been driving past this place for years. Finally i stopped in. First of all, super clean, cool environment. Waitress was great. Food was great. Value was great. This went from a place id been meaning to stop at to a place on my rotation list, instantly. Grits were as close to the ones i make at home as ive ever had . Biscuits were great. Iced tea was great. When i pulled up,from the outside it looked like it might be closed. But when we got inside,it was a 10/10. Highly recommend!
